Wigan Flower Club
About us:
Wigan Flower Club was pioneered 45 years ago by a very small group of ladies with one common interest - a love of flowers - who wished to share their enthusiasm with others. The idea flourished and today we have a membership which is in excess of 125.
We celebrated our Sapphire Anniversay in April and thanks to the sponsorship of several local business and to members and friends we raised £700 for Wigan & Leigh Hospice.
Members attend monthly meetings at St Michael's Parish Hall, Shaw Street, Wigan, on the third Wednesday of the month commencing at 7.15 p.m. The Chairman, Committee and friends of the club enjoy the companionship of spending an evening with others of like minded interests, as is proved by the lively and cheerful chatter prior to the Demonstation. We relish the challenge of Church and Area Festivals and have been involved on many occasions over the years, including at our local Hospice, Stonyhurst and Hoghton Towers.
Annual subscriptions are £22.00 and visitors may attend any two meetings at £3.50 per meeting
Future events: A Luncheon in June and a visit to the National Competitions in Coventry in July.
We welcome new members.
