Why not join us for this informal, informative and fun day, even if it’s just to build your own confidence in communication.  Experience the advantages of booking a Qualified Speaker, using exciting visual aids to illustrate their chosen subject.  This could be an alternative for one of your Club meetings!

WAFA Selection Competition

 The North West Area Selection Competition is to be held at Bilsborrow Village Hall on Monday 11th June 2012.   The winner will go forward to the WAFA Elimination Competition in Bishopsgate Hall, London on 23/24th October 2012.  The subsequent winner will stage the NAFAS International Honorary Exhibit in Ireland 18-24th June 2014 and expenses will be paid for plant material, travel and overnight accommodation at The North West Area rates.

Competition Schedule:

Title:             ‘CUTTING EDGE’

Size:             1m wide x 1m depth x height optional

Spaces marked and allocated by the organisers

All measurements approximate. 

Exhibits must be staged within the space provided.

To be viewed all round and judged from the front

No bases supplied:  Staged at floor level. Competitor to supply base/s if required

Exhibits to be staged by one person

Exhibits will be judged according to NAFAS Competitions Manual, Second Edition 9

Staging time from 9.00am – 12 noon Monday 11th June 2012

Judging from 12.30pm by Mrs Mavis Turnbull

Viewing: after judging and before afternoon session of Council Meeting

Dismantling approx 3.30pm – 4pm 11th June 2012 (following Council meeting)

No entry fee

Items requiring special time and expertise for their preparation, may be brought ready assembled for incorporation in the design.  THESE SHOULD NOT PREDOMINATE IN THE EXHIBIT

Further details of staging and a map will be sent on acceptance of entry

Closing date for entries – Monday 14th May 2012
